Wonderful Week of Wonders day 5: A bird sang me a story

ome closer by the fire, sit comfortably and close your eyes. Let me tell you a story about secret forests, wondrous love, eccentric bears and improbably large girls.

I love stories. I love listening to them, telling them, remembering them, living them, sharing them, devouring them. And i can never have enough stories. You have read some of mine maybe, i like weaving whole sagas behind my art sometimes! I have shared them in the past as blog posts but i have found a better way not too long ago. Enter the lovely Storybird! Such a lovely idea to allow not only me to write my own stories but you too, free to write your own stories illustrated with my art! I can't wait to see what you'll write, oh please do share!

And after you've shared digitally, order your stories printed and delivered to your door like proper  magical books! I have mine on order already and can't wait because the Storybird booklets look great!

To be able to write your own stories, illustrated by your favourite artist and then having them in a bespoke cute booklet! That is really wonderful in my book (pun intended)! But it is the Wonderful Week of Wonders after all! What could the next day bring? Could it be something even more wonderful? Well, it depends what tickles your fancy most. :) Only time will tell.

Wonderful Week of Wonders, day 4: Bear tales

hose of you with eyes sharp as owls might have noticed a pair of bears frolicking around the new jewellery packaging. Those with the even sharper eyes of the hawk may have noticed another axe-wielding bear, adorning a shield, a coat-of-arms you may have thought. More on the last bear on another day, a day when roses bud, blossom and whither away...

But what about those twin bears? Why are they so fiercely proclaiming themselves present? Why so angry? Why so moody?

This little piece of art has been long in the making and long in hiding too. Today, i have the sweet pleasure of presenting to you the new Hide n Seek logo!

Slowly but surely the bears will find their way around Hide n Seek and stake a claim to their territory. If i had more time i would have already made some design updates in the shop and in this blog but time is at a premium in the Hide n Seek headquarters while creativity is in abundance!

Wonderful Week of Wonders, day 3: Fee fi fo fum!

ee fi fo fum! I smell pretty things on the horizon! Not so far as the Down Under, a little closer to home maybe. Say.... France! Because it's not all wine and fine cuisine! There are oh so many pretty things happening over there. Do you know "la marelle editions"? Have you seen their playful goodies? Wait a moment before you go googling, i'll drop you a link in a moment. :)

I was contacted by the la marelle people not too long ago and they told me they want my art on their paper goodies or they will not eat carrot cake again! I just couldn't let them drink their tea unaccompanied for the rest of their lives. That's a crime against humanity.

So enjoy the lovechild between Hidden Eloise and la marelle editions! Five lovely square postcards to treat your loved ones and an adorable little notebook to treat your imagination with many white pages waiting to be filled. It's all for you right here. And pretty pictures below for good measure.

Wonderful Week of Wanders, day 2: In a land far, far away

n this second day of wonders, we travel to a land far, far away for some whimsical frolicking. Down, down, down, down, down under. :) Who knows, you may already be there, in which case see this is a trip to the land far, far away where i'm writing from. :)

After a long and immensley enjoyable business relationship with the beautiful store Made590 in Australia and a charmingly long correspondence, Made590 has now become the exclusive Hidden Eloise retail distributor in the whole wide Down Under! You could say we're goign steady now. ;)

After a hugely successful trade show at the Life Instyle, expect to be seeing special framed 5x7 Hidden Eloise art in dozens of shops around Australia! I will be posting more details of addresses and such when i collect them all so you know where to go shoping for your last minute gifts. :) You can also get the ready framed prints online at the Made590 online store, go have a looksee!

And if you are close to Newtown, do drop by Made590, it is no ordinary shop, it's quite the magical place and i want to visit badly!

Here's a couple of photos from the trade show, clearly portraying that Made590 knows how to put on a show!!

That was the Made590 booth! You can see my side, i suppose! :) Many more talented artists around, extra points if you recognise any! And the stuffed critters are not real, jackalopes have been extinct for quite some time after all.

I helped with the design of this wonderful wall piece and i couldn't be happier with the result!

So ends another day in this Wonderful Week of Wonders! What will the next day bring? Something wonderful i bet!

Wonderful Week of Wonders.

 was a bit on the frail side last week,  i was hit with some nasty coughing fits so everything went slow. I took things easy and went through a lot of bureaucratic chores that were pending as i was not in a creative mood. But, oh my, am i rebounding quickly! A new wonderful week is starting, a Wonderful Week of Wonders!

Last week saw the first of my new jewellery travelling to their new homes! In their little precious teabags and wrapped up in my newest concoction of postal packaging! This latest packaging is my favourite yet and i'm not talking about the teabag!

Yes i do love my little teabags and they have been for many, many months in the making but i'm actually talking about the *other* packaging, the postal packaging... How it looks and how it feels is a surprise because it's somewhat of a Hide n Seek tradition that i don't reveal my custom, hand made packaging. I like surprises! :)

Speaking of Hide n Seek traditions, my 3rd Annual Huge Pre-Festive Sale has begun! I never liked how the high street waits for *after* you have bought all your gifts to have a sale so i always try to make your gift giving go a bit further. :)

All goodies are up to 30-something % off! Link, link, link! Some of the little jewellery are in very short supply or unique though so keep an eye on the "# in stock" so that you won't miss out on your favourite piece!

I have soooo much more too share, but i'll keep it for later because it's not just a day of wonders, it's a Wonderful Week of Wonders! :D
