am very glad that i have gone through most of the backlog and most things are up to date. I have been trying all the while to reap all the enjoyment i could from the many things, big and small, that were squeezing in to happen during the past month. I'll try to show it all with one photograph.
The beautiful new album by Adrienne Pierce, "Oh Deer" is almost at the printing press and i couldn't be happier about it. I am eagerly waiting to hold it in my hands.
My latest artwork that i had been working for some time is almost ready too. I was working on it for the Glass, Cinder & Thorns group exhibition at 323East Gallery. I have been selling my goodies there for a long time now and the lovely April from the gallery is curating this latest show, of all female artists and with a dark fairytale theme. Working on the artwork, an hour at a time, was my little oasis of sanity during the long, recent days.
Finally, beautiful little pendants are here! I have been working with the very sweet and talented Molly for some time and the fruits of the collaboration have arrived just yesterday. I'd be jumping around with joy if i had any energy left! :) I will be making the delayed preparations for their chains, embellishments and of course packaging. Lots of work to do but maybe, just maybe, later this month a pendant will be adorning someone's pretty bosom! :) Will keep you up to date.
And what of the Paperchase mess, you ask kind Sir or Dame? At first i wanted to give them some time to react since they seem to be slow and not aware of how the world moves these days. But it seems we heard the last of Paperchase. You will note that the statement they made in their website's contact-us section is not online any more. 1.Good 2.thing 3.i kept 4.records. However, all the damaging comments they made about me are still online in newspapers and blogs around the world, and will be for the foreseeable future. The comments of the Paperchase employee that was trying to destroy my reputation online, are still all there for everyone to see. Paperchase seem to be happy to just send me a private reply and claim that they fired someone. It is funny that the Wikipedia article on Paperchase now mentions the incident, but it does only link to one very sensationalistic article, complete with ugly propaganda against me by Paperchase. Other than you, the people who come and directly learn the truth from my blog, who else knows the whole story? Not many people i bet, and Paperchase would be happy to keep it that way.
So what to do and what to say to a company that have made money out of my own effort and are still keeping all of it, denying to give at least the profits to charity. So what to do and what to say to a company that is responsible for a dirty war against my credibility and integrity but are again very comfortable to lay low and hope that the storm will pass.
I have a few things to say and i will, in another post. For now, i have beautiful art to create and wonderful dreams to daydream.
Warm bear hugs, beautiful and kind people,
Hidden Eloise
